Now Germany’s Bayer AG, which bought the agriculture giant last year, faces a claim that it deceived home gardeners about Roundup’s impact on their gut bacteria and their health. New Drunk Driving Laws for Connecticut
Effective July 1, 2015, there are now new CT Drunk Driving laws. Most notably affected is the amount of time of your suspension via the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Now, regardless of your age, or if it is your first, second or third offense, the length of your suspension is 45 days. However, following this 45-day suspension you will be required to install a Ignition Interlock Device (IID) in your vehicle. For First time offenders over the age of 21, you must have the IID installed for 6 months. Amtrak Train Accident: Train Derailed While Traveling 106 MPH
From ABC News: An Amtrak train that derailed in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, killing at least seven people, was traveling an estimated 106 mph before it crashed, officials said today. The speed limit in the section of track where the accident took place is 50 mph, according to the Federal Railroad Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.According to NTSB board member Robert Sumwalt, at 9:21 p.m., the entire train derailed while going through a turn. Just moments before the derailment, the train was placed into engineer-induced braking. At the time the engineer applied the brakes, the train was traveling at an estimated 106 mph.
